About Julie

Legal Marketing Specialist | Probate Law, Finance & Insurance

Julie Draper is a legal marketing specialist with academic training in law and professional experience within the UK finance and insurance sectors. She writes and oversees content relating to probate law, estate administration, inheritance tax, probate finance and probate insurance solutions across England and Wales.

Julie graduated from the University of Hull with a Law & Business degree. Her academic foundation provides a strong understanding of statutory interpretation, procedural requirements and the legal frameworks that underpin probate and inheritance tax matters.

Although she chose not to pursue qualification to become a solicitor, her legal education remains central to her work. She later completed both the Certificate of Marketing and Advanced Certificate in Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, formalising her expertise in strategic, ethical and regulated communications.

Professional Background in Regulated Sectors

Before establishing her legal marketing consultancy Adidem Marketing, Julie worked within regulated financial services environments, including roles with Britannia Building Society (now part of The Co-operative Bank) and within the insurance sector at Health Shield Friendly Society.

These roles provided practical exposure to:

  • Consumer protection frameworks
  • Financial compliance standards
  • Risk-based product communication
  • Responsible marketing in regulated industries

This experience continues to inform her structured and compliance-aware approach to legal and financial content.

Sector Focus: Probate, Estate Administration & Probate Finance

Julie now works exclusively within legal-sector marketing, with a particular focus on:

  • Probate applications and estate administration
  • Inheritance Tax reporting and compliance
  • Executor duties and risk management
  • Probate funding considerations
  • Insurance solutions linked to estate property

She collaborates closely with solicitors, tax professionals and regulated financial practitioners to ensure published content reflects real-world practice in England and Wales.

Compliance, Regulation & Responsible Information

Julie is a strong advocate of balanced and transparent communication — particularly where legal and financial decisions are concerned.

Probate and related financial products operate within regulated environments, including those overseen by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and, where applicable to financial products, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and The Probate Network is registered as  as an Introducer Appointed Representative with the FCA.

Julie works with a clear understanding of regulatory boundaries and consumer protection standards. Her content is designed to:

  • Provide clear and accurate information
  • Avoid pressure-based or misleading language
  • Present both benefits and potential risks
  • Encourage readers to seek regulated professional advice where appropriate

Through The Probate Network, the aim is to provide balanced guidance that supports informed decision-making. Where readers choose to pursue services further, introductions are made only to vetted, reputable and appropriately regulated practitioners operating within their professional frameworks.

Commitment to Clarity in Sensitive Circumstances

Probate often follows bereavement — a period when individuals may be vulnerable, emotionally pressured or uncertain about their options. Julie’s work prioritises clarity, neutrality and responsible presentation of information to ensure families can consider legal and financial decisions carefully and without undue influence.

Her combined legal education, financial services experience and specialist legal marketing focus enable her to bridge technical legal concepts with accessible public guidance — strengthening trust, authority and transparency across all published material.
